Your family looks down on me for giving up on you and for not sticking around to help you with your drug habit. F**k them. Your drug habit was no longer my problem once I became a mother. It was now yours.
Our child will be better off without you. She doesn’t need to ever know that her father chose drugs over her. She will never feel second best and not good enough. I’ve helped you and have tried to get you off drugs for five years, but time ran out for us. It’s time for me to be happy with or without you (it doesn’t matter anymore). My daughter is the only thing that matters.
